Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to welcome a bright and meticulous Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager and wider accounts team. What’s in it for you? * Work hours: Core office hours, 40 hours per week * Salary guide: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience * 25 days holiday * Access to a pension scheme * Collaborative, vibrant environment Accounts Assistant Responsibilities: * Undertake daily banking duties, allocating payments, handling daily transactions, and making transfers * Liaise with customers to take and allocate card payments * Raise and process invoices for customers * Post journal entries to general ledgers on a daily basis * Accurately maintain all customer records, allocating funds, and ensuring the accounting system holds all relevant customer information * Assist the wider finance team with credit control duties * Close customer accounts, ensuring that no payments are outstanding * Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets Accounts Assistant Skills and Experience: * Prior experience as an account assistant/accounts administrator is preferred, and it would be a bonus if that experience was gained within a professional, corporate environment * Possesses knowledge and experience in purchase ledger, sales ledger, and reconciliations * Meticulous and detail-orientated, able to work with accuracy * IT literate, with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel * Good communicator, able to articulate clearly and confident dealing with customers and liaising internally
