Account Manager

I am working with a a forward-thinking, solutions-driven engineering firm specialising in providing high-quality, innovative services across a range of sectors including construction, facilities management and engineering consultancy. This role is for their FM department to join a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality, efficient and cost-effective facilities management services. Account Manager Opportunity: Location: Canary Wharf, East London Working Hours: Mon – Fri (8am – 5pm and 8am – 4pm) Office Based I am seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Manager to oversee key aspects of their financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations and supporting the finance team in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in payroll, invoicing, VAT, CIS, and tax planning. For this role you must have a background in working within a Construction company. * Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. * Process monthly payrolls for all employees, ensuring compliance with tax and national insurance regulations. * Manage and maintain the debtors' list, ensuring accurate tracking of all outstanding invoices. * Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on payment schedules in a professional manner. * Ensure timely collection and resolution of any payment issues. * Issue accurate and timely invoices to clients, ensuring compliance with company pricing, terms, and conditions. * Post invoices into the financial system accurately, ensuring proper coding and classification for accounting purposes. * Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements. * Process CIS returns * Audit financial information for inconsistencies * Provide tax planning strategies in accordance with existing legislation * Can from time to time be asked to do adhoc work.
