SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time, Term Time Only Salary: £1906 – £2275 per month GSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Scarborough, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in education. The Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Support students with SEN, SEMH, Autism, and learning difficulties. Assist in 1:1 and small group interventions to encourage engagement and development. Work alongside teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning strategies. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Adapt teaching materials to meet individual learning needs. Who We Are Looking For: Previous experience working with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviours is preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in care, youth work, sports coaching, or psychology are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, patience, and resilience. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one. Why Join This School?
