Salary: GBP80 - GBP120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in Southampton, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Multi Sports Coach. The setting is centred on pupil s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Multi Sports Coach. The successful SEND Multi Sports Coach will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role and will be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the young people s individual needs.

The position will involve working with young people with the aim of reintroducing them with back into education or providing guidance for their next path. The role will include using sports to inspire them in improving their personal and social development skills or challenges they are currently facing. This role will need someone who is patient, nurturing, a good mentor and able to communicate.

The successful SEND Multi Sports Coach will have:

• Experience working with young people with additional needs
• Experience working within a coaching / recreational / educational setting
• Basic first aid and CPR certification (or be willing to obtain)
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
• Driving license is required
