Quantity Surveyor

Delta Personnel is searching for a Quantity Surveyor in the Leicester area for our NICEIC client

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to price new electrical projects and prepare tender documentation for our NICEIC contractor client. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all pricing and tender documentation meets NICEIC standards and you'll be expected to hold the industry standard qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Price new electrical installation projects and prepare detailed tender documentation
• Ensure all pricing and tender documentation aligns with NICEIC contractor standards
• Liaise with project managers and technical teams to define job scopes and requirements
• Monitor and control project costs, preparing regular cost reports
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost estimation and tendering processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must hold one of the following acceptable qualifications, as specified by the NICEIC:

Craft Qualification
Examples include a Level 3 Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship standard (including end point assessment/AM2S), Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment, or an equivalent qualification

Initial Verification Qualification
Such as a Level 3 Award in Initial Verification of Electrical Installations, or an equivalent award

Wiring Regulations Qualification
For instance, a Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 (or equivalent)

Periodic Inspection Qualification
For example, a Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting, or an equivalent qualification

Essential Attributes

• Proven experience in cost estimation, tender preparation and contract administration within electrical installations
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills
• Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
• A solid understanding of electrical installation standards and NICEIC contractor requirements
