Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting skills and be part of a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in completing month-end tasks for group accounting in a timely manner.
Input multi-country import stock invoices, ensuring correct tax implications are applied.
Process overhead invoices, ensuring correct coding according to budgets, including understanding prepayments and accruals.
Support management accountants with month-end close activities.
Process BACS and international payment runs for approval, prioritizing key payments.
Resolve supplier queries efficiently, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and processing purchase return orders when necessary.
Set up new supplier accounts and maintain accurate records.
Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts and credit cards.
Identify and post intercompany purchase invoices and journals.
Focus on supporting the Accounts Payable month-end process to assist with group management accounts.
Provide support across all finance tasks as required.

Skills & Attributes Required:

Strong mathematical ability and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Confidence in phone communication and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
High level of accuracy in processing financial data.
Strong accountability for individual work and performance.
Proactive mindset with a drive for process improvement.

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

AAT qualification or equivalent experience in accounting or finance.
