Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor's environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.

The Culture, Creative Industries and 24-Hour London Unit exists to make London an exciting, world-leading city of inspiration and opportunities for everyone.
Four of five tourists visit London for its culture. Tourism accounts for one in seven jobs in London and contributes almost 12% of the city's GDP. London is roaring back from the impact of the pandemic. The latest figures show: London's attractions enjoyed a 141 per cent growth in visitors last year, more than 2m more international arrivals are expected to come to London this year compared to last year, bringing an additional GBP674m to the capital. Cultural tourism generating GBP3.2 billion for our economy and supporting 80,000 jobs in the capital (GLA Intelligence)
About the role
The Senior Officer, Cultural Tourism Partnerships leads on the development and delivery of strategic opportunities for maximising the advocacy and communication of the Unit's programmes such as East Bank and the London Borough of Culture through liaison and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders on behalf of the GLA. This will involve connecting with cultural and nighttime organisations, the Mayor's Cultural Leadership Board, businesses, local authorities, and trade bodies (e.g. UK Hospitality, 24 Hour London, London & Partners, Transport for London, and the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions), building on existing relationships.
As part of the Strategy & Programmes team within the Culture, Creative Industries and 24-Hour London Unit, this role has a responsibility for the team as well as personally leading and bringing cultural tourism experience and engagement with stakeholders to high profile cultural programmes and campaigns.
