Health & Safety Officer

Our client based near St. Ives is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join them on a full time permanent basis working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am - 5.00pm. This is a great opportunity to join an established local business who offer training and career progression.

Responsibilities

In this role as a Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible day to day for a varied workload including:-

• Undertaking inspections on site
• You will conduct performance monitoring and compliance
• Responsible for ensuring staff / employees adhere to H & S practices
• Produce Health & Safety reports
• Conducting risk assessments
• Assisting with compilation of the comapny Health & Safety strategy

Skills required

To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Officer, you will have:-

• Nebosh Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience of creating and maintaining H & S policies, processes and risk assessments
• You will have a background within warehousing / logistics / manufacturing or similar
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse at all levels.
• Own transport is required due to location
