JOB- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Beccles
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- 45,000 to 55,000

Premier Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Beccles . This role involves leading the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies , working closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to deliver high-quality products.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
Extensive experience in mechanical design , ideally within manufacturing, special-purpose machinery, or automation
Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and precision machining processes
Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles
Experience producing detailed technical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Leading the design and development of mechanical systems and components
Producing 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation
Conducting design reviews, prototyping, and testing
Working closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure feasibility and efficiency
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
