Job Title: Technical/Design Manager

We are seeking a Technical/Design Manager to become a part of our growing team, presenting a distinctive opportunity in our fast-expanding construction business. This role is a key position within our organization and will involve serving as an integral member of the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the entire design process, from concept to final delivery.
• Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the design process.

• Guiding and mentoring design team members, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings in line with program specifications and budget requirements using AutoCAD.
• Ensuring that all design outputs meet the highest quality standards and align with the company s brand and goals.

• Work alongside the Planning/Building Control Departments throughout the process, ensuring the provision of accurate technical information for applications.
• Managing resources and timelines to ensure efficient project execution.
• Oversee the resolution of technical design and construction issues, controlling design variations and requests for further information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with clients and key stakeholders regarding relevant technical matters.
• Ensure the accurate and complete handover of technical information at project completion or designated phases.
• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to the Company Health & Safety Policy, safeguarding yourself, colleagues, third parties, and the public.

Desired Qualifications:

• HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification.
• Honours degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in CAD/Revit.

Key Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in the design of roofing, facades, and general construction.
• Strong understanding of design and engineering principles in construction.
• In-depth technical and building construction knowledge.
• Familiarity with Building Regulations.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM Regulations.
