Female Support Worker
Location : Bexley, Kent
Hours: Waking Night shifts (Except Friday nights), 7pm - 7am, Day shifts - 1 weekday and 1 weekend day, 7am-7pm
Job Type: Short term to permanent contract
Salary: GBP16 per hour (Weekdays and weekends) - GBP17 per hour (Waking nights), Double Time for Bank Holidays

On behalf of their client, the organisation is recruiting enthusiastic, motivated, and highly skilled support workers to join a fantastic multi-disciplinary team. The support worker team provides 24/7 1:1 care and support to a 12-year-old girl with a brain injury who lives with her family in the Bexley area. She has severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy, no verbal communication, and visual impairment, and she is gastrostomy-fed.
Your role will enable their client to live in the community within her own home, maximising her rehabilitation potential, improving her quality of life, and achieving desired goals. She enjoys listening to music and going into the garden. It is imperative that support workers prioritise their client's health and well-being by following the advice and guidance of the professionals involved in her care.
In the future as part of your role, you will also be able to take part in her therapeutic activities (as directed and trained by therapists) which will help to promote, improve and develop your own skills, experience and knowledge base.
