Our Professional Ethics Guidance team are currently seeking to recruit a permanent qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX lawyer as an Ethics Adviser.
The role
Ethics Advisers (Solicitor) have a pivotal role in providing expert technical and professional guidance on the rules that govern solicitors' conduct and assist our regulated community and the broader legal services sector in applying these to their situation.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide first contact risk-based guidance to the profession via telephone, correspondence, and webchat. You will also be involved in the regulatory decision-making process by considering applications to waive SRA rules. There will also be opportunities to develop specialist expertise by becoming a subject matter expert on specific areas of the SRA's rules. You will also be encouraged to support the teams mission to be "the world best ethics guidance service "by working with colleagues on a range of projects which enhance the team's positive impact and service to the profession.
The work of an Ethics Adviser will suit someone who enjoys dealing with a wide variety of queries, enjoys problem solving and thrives on delivering high quality advice and customer service. Taking ownership of your queries, you will consistently deliver practical, consistent and accurate guidance to the profession. You will enjoy being part of a team that consistently receives outstanding customer feedback, and is highly respected for its collaborative ethos, knowledge and professionalism.
