As a History Teacher , you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a passion for history in students of all abilities. You will guide students through various historical periods, encouraging them to analyse evidence, develop critical thinking skills, and understand the impact of the past on the present.

What You ll Be Doing:

• Make history fun by teaching lessons for all students.
• Create an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment that fosters a love of history.
• Develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills through the study of historical events.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Encourage students to connect history with the present day and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a degree in History or a related subject.
• Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 & KS4, KS5 desirable).
• Strong subject knowledge in a variety of historical periods and events.
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
• Passion for teaching and encouraging students to think critically .
• Effective communication skills to work with students, staff, and parents.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
