Maintenance Fitter

Job description

We have a vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client s team. This essential role ensures that the plant runs smoothly, and downtime is minimized. We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and efficient Maintenance Fitter with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on heavy plant equipment.
• Ensure the smooth operation of motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Conduct MIG welding and fabrication tasks as required.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues promptly.
• Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, specifically in heavy plant environments.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabricating.
• Experience with maintaining motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.

Hours of Work :

• Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM - will eventually change to MON-TUE-FRI-SAT-SUN 7am To 5pm
• Additional hours as required to meet business needs.

Compensation : GBP15.00 to GBP18 per hour
