Job Title: Centreline Engineer Hours of Work: 10-12 hours per day Working Days: Monday to Saturday NES Fircroft are recruiting for a Centreline Engineer for our client based in Dublin. As a Centreline Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the centreline overhaul works (day shift) in line with the requirements set out by the overhaul project manager. The role involves supporting the overhaul project team to deliver the project(s) safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the required quality. Position Description: As the Centreline Engineer, you will work in partnership with the rest of the project team, supporting the overhaul project manager with the safe and efficient delivery of the centreline overhaul works. You will ensure that the OEM carries out their works safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the agreed OEM and defined processes and procedures. This position requires the applicant to be mobilized on-site and support the day shift phase of these works. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the overhaul project manager with the safe and efficient delivery of the centreline overhaul programme. Ensuring the quality of the centreline works is carried out in accordance with the agreed protocols. Supervising the centreline works and ensuring works are completed in accordance with the defined procedures. Identifying any issues and supporting their resolution. Reporting and documenting progress and feeding back to the project team and project manager.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the team, contractors, and key stakeholders. Experience with GT 26 and GE (Legacy Alstom) ST Overhauls. Knowledge/experience of GT testing and assembly protocols (i.e., witness and hold point tolerances, assembly best practices, etc.). Good working knowledge of all Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I issues associated with GT 26 plant. Supervision/Reporting experience.Desirable: Safety and environmental management experience, including understanding of the PSDP/PSCS roles and responsibilities. Experience in managing overhauls in combined cycle stations. A good understanding of contracts, including management of the same.Qualifications: Essential: Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working from height.Desirable: Primary engineering degree, a degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience. Occupational Health and Safety.Base Location: Dublin Bay Power Station Additional Information: Travel, accommodation, and related expenses will not be reimbursed when attending the agreed base location. Expenses incurred for business travel that are not normally incurred in the normal place of work will be reimbursed. All travel and accommodation expenses must be agreed in advance with the line manager. Claims for reimbursement of approved receipts must be via the contractor's agency. Mileage rates for journeys will not apply.Anticipated Start Date: April to approximately 4th June (when Mesh work completes) Duration: 12 months Safety Requirements: Contractors must comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and requirements pertaining to the location where they are working and must comply with all directions and instructions from their designated line management. Contractors shall wear full PPE, including Arc-resistant where required. Steel toe boots compliant with S3 EN ISO 20345. Safe Pass and manual handling training. Contractors shall be provided with an unbranded hard hat and ear defenders where required. PPE will be provided by suppliers but without any identifiable logos. PPE provided does not include safety boots, gloves, and eye protection. These are standard items that contractors should have at their cost. Contractors must have up-to-date Safe Pass and manual handling training.Other Requirements: The successful candidate must have use of a personal phone, laptop/PC, and internet facilities, and must be equipped to fully engage in a professional manner during the course of the engagement.
