Production Operator

Our client specializes in manufacturing and supplying all components for metal roofing and cladding. Their product range includes roof and wall profiles, standard and custom flashings, architectural fabrications, gutters, louvres, structural sections, and all necessary accessories. With extensive production capabilities, they offer roll-forming of metal roof and wall profiles, as well as bespoke flashing and fabrication services tailored to customer specifications, using a variety of metals, including aluminium. Job Opportunity: Production Operative Our client is seeking a Production Operative to join their team immediately at their facility in St. Ives. The role involves general production, labouring, and machine operation duties on an ongoing basis. Training will be provided, but candidates must be quick learners and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Operating machinery Labelling products Assisting the machine supervisor General labouring tasks Loading metal onto machines Handling materials Performing basic sheet metal work Folding metal using machines (training provided) General maintenance tasks Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace Complying with health and safety regulations Carrying out other duties as assigned by the supervisor Candidate Requirements: Available to start immediately (no notice period) Physically fit and capable of manual labour Flexible and adaptable with a proactive attitude Able to work both independently and in pairs, with strong communication skills Experience with brake presses is beneficial but not essential (training provided) Must have steel-toe-capped safety boots Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30If you meet the above requirements and are ready to start immediately, we encourage you to apply
