Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer/Account Manager - Water Treatment

Location: UK Wide (focus on Midlands/Severn Trent)

  • Remote working (50/50) with travel to client office/site when required - odd overnight stay may be required

Type : Permanent - Full Time 8:30-5

Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales growth and provide expert technical support for wastewater treatment solutions . This role involves engaging with customers, identifying their needs, preparing proposals, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong wastewater technical background, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Sales Development:

    • Proactively develop technical sales enquiries by engaging with customers and conducting site visits/investigations.

    • Identify client requirements and scope appropriate treatment solutions.

  • Proposal & Technical Support:

    • Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for wastewater treatment solutions, seeking internal support as needed.

    • Collaborate with the in-house laboratory to analyse and integrate test results into proposals and reports.

  • Customer Support & Market Analysis:

    • Provide online support to customer enquiries via interactive portals.

    • Manage, update, and analyse the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track market trends.

  • Presentations & Marketing:

    • Assist in developing and delivering technical presentations for prospective and existing customers.

    • Promote the clients equipment and solutions through proactive sales, marketing efforts, and industry events.

    • Represent the company at trade shows and client events, conducting presentations where required.

  • Project & Customer Satisfaction:

    • Ensure operational teams have the necessary information for effective solution delivery.

    • Conduct end-of-contract customer satisfaction surveys to assess and improve service quality.

    • Work closely with project/solution teams for complex projects while maintaining strong client relationships.



Requirements:

  • A strong interest in water and wastewater treatment, with a focus on identifying optimal solutions.

  • Basic knowledge of key design elements and applicable standards for wastewater treatment works.

  • Ability to apply technical expertise practically, balancing commercial viability, quality assurance, risk management, and team morale.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and industry events.

  • Full UK Driving Licence
