An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate teacher to join a high-achieving primary school in April in Peterborough. This temporary role offers the chance to inspire and engage students aged 4-11 in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
• QTS (or equivalent)
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to student welfare.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
• A passion for teaching, with a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in core subjects (e.g., math, English, science, social studies).
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Use creative and interactive teaching strategies (e.g., storytelling, games, experiments).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules to maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
• Manage student behaviour using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom for all students.
• Foster social-emotional development through mentorship and guidance.
