Location: Manchester (City Centre)

Salary: 50,000 to 60,000 (depending on the experience)

Purpose of the Role:

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will take on the exciting challenge of managing the execution of intricate electrical designs across a diverse array of projects. This role transcends traditional project oversight; you will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior Engineers, cultivating strong relationships with clients, and collaborating closely with design team members, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Role and responsibilities:

• Leverage expertise in electrical building services to inform high-quality designs, including HV/LV Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Lighting Control, Fire Alarms, Communication Systems, Lightning Protection, Security, and Access Control.
• Comprehend and apply the principles of Building Regulations alongside client net zero carbon goals, as well as BREEAM and LEED sustainability certifications.
• Provide mentorship, guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians.
• Conduct thorough site investigations, carry out inspections, pinpoint challenges, and develop solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications for completed projects.
• Assist clients with tender evaluations.
• Communicate and collaborate confidently with team members, clients, and other construction professionals on projects.
• Act as the company's representative during design team meetings with clients and construction colleagues.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen in your position by identifying changes or opportunities in projects through client discussions and by providing follow-ups either directly or via the senior leadership team.
• Provide support with project commissioning as needed to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Software Expertise: Demonstrates proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux and BIM Environment.
