Service Electrical Engineer Role Overview: As a Service Electrical Engineer, you'll support the installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of Low Voltage (415V) and Medium Voltage (11kV) switchgear and related equipment. ⚙️ Key Responsibilities: * Installation: Offloading, aligning, wiring, bolting, testing (Flash, Megger, Ducter), and retrofitting switchgear. * Pre-commissioning: Check control wiring, mechanical/electrical interlocks, and breaker functionality; input protection relay settings. * Commissioning (SAT): Conduct full function tests, verify relay settings, and provide detailed site reports. * Documentation: Complete reports, test certificates, timesheets, and expenses accurately and promptly. * Communication: Maintain clear and professional verbal and written communication with clients and internal teams. 📌 Skills & Experience Required: * Strong background in electrical switchgear systems (especially in Oil & Gas/Petrochem industries). * Skilled in testing electronic protection relays and reading schematic diagrams. * Experience working on-site in the UK and internationally. * ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * Full UK driving licence and legal right to work in the UK. * Must be eligible for SC Clearance 🎯 Personal Qualities: * Proactive, organised, and a problem-solver. * Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Strong team player with excellent attention to detail. 💼 Benefits: * Salary with location-based uplifts * 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) * Healthcare, life assurance, and pension * Annual bonus (performance-based, paid at Christmas) * Cycle to work scheme & social club * Core hours: 8am–4pm (37.5 hours/week) * Support for personal and professional development
