Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant eager to continue with their development within Finance. This role is based in Lewes and requires a keen eye for detail and excellent numerical abilities.

Description

As the Assistant Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense entries and invoices.
• Accruals and prepayments
• Ensure compliance with accounting deadlines.
• Prepare and recommend budgeting for the financial forecast.
• Support with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• VAT Returns
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• Practical understanding of ERP accounting software.
• Experience working in a Finance team, supporting production of Management Accounts.
• Ideally AAT Qualified
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
