Industrial Electrician

Are you a time served Electrician with experience within a Heavy Industrial environment? Are you based in or around Hartlepool? We have a permanent Electrical Craft Team Member role available within Tata Steel Tubes. This role is ideal for someone with electrical maintenance skills and is hands-on, technical, and fast-paced. Location: TATA Steel, Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG Salary: £42,238 basic (Inclusive of shift allowance) rising to £46,395 upon demonstration of site-specific competencies + quarterly bonus Shift Patterns: 12-hour Days and Nights (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) Start: ASAP but pending the result of a medical check Responsibilities: * Assisting the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance * Repairing deficiencies effectively to prevent recurrence * Providing first-line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime * Maintaining Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring safe working procedures are followed at all times * Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems * Ensuring high-quality work at all times Essential Requirements: * The completion of an electrical apprenticeship * Experience within an industrial (heavy) environment * Industrial wiring knowledge with 18th edition an advantage * Knowledge and experience with Overhead Cranes, PLC’s (Siemens and Allen Bradley), AC/DC motor/gearbox drive systems and variable speed motor controls with inverters and converters * Strong verbal and written communication skill * Excellent knowledge of UK based Health and Safety Legislation * Problem-solving approach to work * Excellent interpersonal skills * Good IT literacy Benefits: * Advice and editing on your current CV * Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role * Paid holiday of 35 days per annum * Quarterly bonus scheme subject to performance (permanent staff) * Annual pay review * Employer pension scheme of 10% employer against 6% employee contribution (permanent, different rules apply to temp and contracting) * Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts * Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend All applicants are subject to vetting checks including: Right to work check, Medical check, and reference check
