Site Manager required for residential project in Shetland. 18 months of continuous work on the current project, with future work also available within the Scottish Water sector. Flights and accommodation either provided or worked into the rate - looking for someone with strong groundworks experience and who has experience managing sub-contractors, and client liaison. Rate is negotiable, start date is in the next few weeks. Duties and Essential Knowledge/Qualifications: - Candidate ideally have worked there way up through their career from on the tools to supervisor/manager and have a technical qualification like civil engineering or construction project management. - Candidate should have good commercial knowledge and ability to manage a construction site and how the works makes money, ability to read drawings and operate CAD and check what the site team are doing. - NEC contract - fully understand the type of the contract, how it works the different roles and responsibilities - Early warnings compensation events - communication forms and document control - Good Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental management, roles and responsibility. - Manage the day to day safe system of work on the site, i.e. toolbox talks, reviewing and approving RAMS from subcontractor etc. - Some experience of project planning and MS Project. - Work well as part of a team
