Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer Location: Lincolnshire (Bourne) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift About Lynx is working with an innovative manufacturer specializing in mobile welfare facilities with cutting-edge technology in energy efficiency. Their products use renewable energy management systems to deliver sustainable on-site solutions. Due to significant growth and their objective to expand into new markets, they are looking to strengthen the engineering department. The Role The company are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who can create and develop innovative solutions for mobile site facilities and follow them through to implementation within our product range. Key Responsibilities: * Interpret design briefs and provide creative solutions to design problems * Create 3D models using PTC Creo * Perform FEA analysis of parts and assemblies using PTC Creo-Simulate * Create detailed drawings for manufacture across various production processes * Take products through the entire design process from conception to production * Liaise with suppliers to source parts * Interact with in-house manufacturing to improve efficiency through better design * Create and update bills of materials in Syspro * Maintain design technical files * Adhere to relevant legislation for trailer design (VCA) * Test products and new ideas * Program CNC laser and router machines Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar * Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally Creo, but SolidWorks/Inventor or similar is acceptable) * 3-5+ years' experience in a similar role Offer: * Starting salary from £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience * Varied role with new challenges daily * 25 days paid holidays per year (plus bank holidays) * Company Pension scheme * Free on-site parking
