This role as Finance Assistant, has become available due to internal promotion, the finance manager who you will report into did this job, so she will be at hand to train and develop you. You will work as part of a small, friendly and outgoing team of 3, both your colleagues have worked for the company for over 12 years. Staff turnover in this company in ALL departments is very low. So, you can have the confidence that you will be working as part of a bigger highly successful business. You may be currently studying AAT or already have the qualifications level 2-4 completed, either is fine. If you are still studying or would like to continue this company will support you with both the expense of the qualifications and the time you may need for exams. Handling accruals and prepayments Post daily cash receipt to the accounts receivable ledger and match to the relevant invoice. Managing other day to day banking transactions Approx. weekly reconciliation of accounts receivable and reporting to the bank invoice finance facility. Credit control Completing month end bank and other control account reconciliations. Completing financial reports and analysis on a regular basis Holiday/absence cover for payroll processing (SAGE experience desirable) Communicating with customers and suppliers on a regular basis to solve any issues. Assisting with budgets You will need: Qualified or AAT, desired. Experience working with financial systems in an accounts department.
