Support Worker

Central Care is currently recruiting for Support Workers for services in Wandsworth. You will provide an effective, high quality support service to address the presenting needs of residents with complex and enduring needs in relation to substance misuse and related issues (i.e. mental health). In this position, candidates are expected to have experience of working in services with people with support needs related to substance misuse, physical and mental health, as well as experience in the harm reduction/addiction field. Candidates are also expected to have the ability to cope with customers who display challenging behaviour, and an understanding of the risks associated with specific service user groups. You must also be able to work flexibly with clients who have a low level of engagement with the service. Pay rates range from £14.74 - £18 per hour (exclusive of holiday pay). To apply for this role, you must have at least 12 months’ paid experience of working with adults who have a variety of needs including substance misuse or mental health needs.
