Application Engineer

A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an Application Engineer to support its sales team and drive business growth within the aerospace, oil & gas, and automotive sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and commercially minded engineer with expertise in metal cutting and machining processes. The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical support to customers and the sales team, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and developing new business. This role requires a self-motivated problem solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical assistance to end-user customers and the sales team. * Report on the progress of technical projects to sales and regional management. * Deliver technical reports and highlight cost-saving opportunities for customers. * Work independently to identify and develop new business opportunities. * Offer product training to customers and the distribution network. * Respond effectively to customer requirements and provide tailored solutions. What’s Required? * A time-served engineer with experience in aerospace, oil & gas, or automotive industries is preferred. * Strong knowledge of metal cutting and machining processes. * A proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills. * IT-literate, with experience using sales and reporting software. * Comfortable presenting technical information to audiences. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
