Junior Quality Engineer
Orion are looking for a methodical and detail-oriented person with a keen eye for detail to join our clients Quality function!
As the Junior Quality Engineer you will join an innovative technology company specialising in advanced metal components, supplying a variety of sectors including electronics, aerospace, and industrial.
You will play a crucial role in supporting operations of nonconformances and implementation of corrective actions.
Working closely with engineers and technicians, ensuring that all work is carried out according to processes and specifications while supporting the Quality function to ensure adherence to AS9100 and ISO9001 standards throughout our manufacturing processes.
Guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations while driving operational efficiency and promoting a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities for the Junior Quality Engineer
Ownership of nonconformance process, supporting process owners to identify and implement corrective actions
Support the wider quality function to develop, implement, and maintain the company's AS9100 and ISO9001 compliant QMS
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and revise operational and quality procedures
Implement statistical process control techniques to monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement
Provide training to employees on quality management principles and practices
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar scientific subject OR 5 years of experience in a production role
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse measurement data effectively
Experience working in a precision engineering environment
Organised and able to work independently as the Junior Quality Engineer, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
High level of attention to detail
