Job Title: Temporary Works Supervisor/ Co-ordinator Location: [Chester] Job Type: [Contract] Site based Salary: [(Apply online only) per day] Job Summary: Due to continued company expansion and New Projects C&D Engineering Consultants are hiring multiple Temporary Works Supervisors/ Co-ordinators for a large-scale industrial construction project based in the Chester area. C&D are an Award-Winning Engineering Consultancy that prioritise safe methods of working on some of the largest Projects Worldwide. We are seeking a Temporary Works Supervisor to oversee and ensure the safe implementation of temporary works on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating temporary works activities, ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate the execution of temporary works on-site. * Ensure all temporary works are installed, used, maintained, and dismantled safely. * Conduct site inspections and ensure all temporary works meet the required safety and quality standards. * Identify and report any risks, defects, or non-compliance issues related to temporary works. * Maintain accurate records of temporary works activities, including permits, drawings, and inspections. * Communicate effectively with site teams, contractors, and designers to ensure smooth execution of temporary works. * Assist in briefing the workforce on temporary works requirements and best practices. * Ensure that any modifications or alterations to temporary works are approved before implementation. * Support incident investigations related to temporary works and implement corrective actions. Key Requirements: * Experience in supervising temporary works within large scale construction projects. * Knowledge of Temporary Works Procedures and relevant safety regulations. * Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) training/certification (CITB or equivalent preferred). * Strong understanding of health & safety standards, including CDM Regulations. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and method statements. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with different teams on-site. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: * Experience working on similar industrial construction projects. * Knowledge of BS 5975 Temporary Works Code of Practice. * First Aid or other health & safety certifications are an advantage.
