Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant Essential • Proven ability to produce monthly management accounts. • Experience of working alongside an operational management team. • Good knowledge of Excel Essential. • Systems Experience (pref. Oracle R12) Desirable * Part-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) * Role Responsibilities * Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, in line with reporting timetables. * Maintain the integrity of the accounting ledgers. * Liaise with Business Managers to ensure that systems and processes are operating efficiently, so that the flow of transactions to source ledgers is up-to-date. * Validation of the monthly source data by reconciliations, critical reviews, etc, to ensure that revenue and costs are accounted for correctly. * Monthly reconciliation of accounts. Provision of supporting documentation for all balance sheet entries. * Education of profit/cost centre managers in financial accounting matters. * Assist in the production of annual plans, budgets and periodic forecasts. * Assist the Finance Manager in carrying out ad hoc analytical exercises. * Assist the Finance Manager in the periodic audit of the financial processes at depots to verify the integrity of the source data. * Understanding all fixed assets registers. * Dealing with Assets within business area, strategic aspect business using ATS, dealing with purchase assets report * Working with other 6 other people in the team * Facilities within the office, might be working at different office sites as well during the assignments within different business area (expenses will be covered) * Parking onsite, electrical vehicle charges available as well * one stage interview onsite to meet the team and to get the hint of the environme * Influence and Persuasion * Planning and Organision
