EVENTS LEAD

We have a super exciting opportunity for a talented, computer savvy and confident Events Lead with a genuine interest in organising events and creating a high level of customer satisfaction to join a small team. Situated in a beautiful estate which boasts a rich history dating back almost a thousand years the estate is now home to a leading Vineyard producing the most stunning English Wines. As the Events Lead you will find yourself working with a dedicated team who manage the Vineyard. The purpose of the role will be to organise and execute a programme of events, tours and tastings throughout the year. Other duties will include using your excellent computer skills to provide administrative and marketing support.


Note this is a 4 day a week role which will involve working some Friday evenings and up to 20 weekends a year.
Salary up to 45K (full time equivalent) pro rata depending on experience


Key responsibilities for the Events Lead will include,

  • Organising a programme of events, tastings and tours
  • Interacting with a range of customers in a professional, positive and friendly manner
  • Recruit, retain and motivate high quality flexible team members during events
  • Administration support, using software such as MS Office, Canva, Shopify and Klaviyo
  • Provide marketing support including website and Shopify updates
  • Support with email campaigns, social media and creating marketing materials
  • Source gift packaging and merchandise
  • Assist with the fulfilment of stock including stocktaking, stock management, packaging and dispatch
  • Manage the day-to-day upkeep of the event spaces including health & safety, alarm testing and insurance compliance
  • Have input into the development and growth of the business

The ideal Events Lead will need the following,

  • Proven experience of organising a range of events from community events to high profile events
  • Be a highly organised, unflappable and adaptable person with a proactive and positive nature
  • Confident IT and administrative skills essential
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo. Canva, Instagram, Linkedin or similar advantageous
  • Be comfortable being part of a small supportive team where everyone is willing to roll their sleeves up and muck in
  • A genuine interest in events, wine and food along with the willingness to learn would be a huge advantage
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential
