Legal Assistant
Salary: Up to GBP28,000

About the Role:
An established family-feel law firm based in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant.
This role involves providing comprehensive support across a variety of legal tasks, assisting in case management, legal document preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of day- to-day legal processes within the firm
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Document Preparation:
Preparing a wide variety of legal documents, iwith a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Case Management:
Managing and organising complex legal files, including electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and timely access to information.
Legal Research:
Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases, using online databases and other legal resources.
Client Communication:
Communicating with clients, solicitors, and other legal professionals, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and courteous manner.
Administrative Support:
Providing administrative support to solicitors and other legal staff, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and handling billing.
Confidentiality:
Maintaining strict confidentiality of client information and legal documents.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally with a focus on Conveyancing
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework or a degree in a related field preferred.
Legal Knowledge:
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and practices.
Organisational Skills:
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Time Management:
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other legal professionals.
