Metal Fabricator

Role Overview
You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings, working on a variety of fabrication and structural projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fabrication, steel structures, and mechanical engineering.

Key Duties:

• Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
• Work closely with engineers and designers to develop mechanical and structural components.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Assist in design modifications, clash detection, and problem-solving during the development phase.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsperson with a mechanical and structural bias.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, and steelwork structures.
• Understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, production teams, and clients.
