Customer Sales and Quotations Manager (Maternity Cover - 12 Months) 📍 Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire 💰 Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum (DOE) ⏰ Hours: Monday – Thursday: 09:00 – 17:00, Friday: 09:00 – 16:30 🏖️ Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays 🎄 Office closure between Christmas & New Year (holiday required) 🎁 Additional leave on Christmas Eve + a Christmas shopping day 🚗 Free onsite parking 📌 Role Overview Our client, a leading supplier of packaging solutions 📦, offers a comprehensive range of products to meet diverse customer needs. They are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Sales and Quotations Manager 🤝 to join their team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This pivotal role combines customer account management, quotations management, and sales development 📊📞, focusing on nurturing warm leads and existing customer relationships. The successful candidate will: ✅ Maintain accurate CRM records 📋 ✅ Provide exceptional customer support ⭐ ✅ Generate sales opportunities from quotation requests 💡 ✅ Work collaboratively with internal teams to support order processing, marketing, and admin tasks. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities 📌 Customer Account & Sales Quotations Management: ✔️ Build strong relationships with key accounts through regular communication ✔️ Act as the first point of contact for queries and manage feedback efficiently 📞 ✔️ Seek opportunities to enhance customer loyalty and strengthen relationships ✔️ Respond to quotation requests promptly and follow up to encourage conversions ✔️ Maintain an up-to-date CRM system, tracking quotation statuses & providing reports ✔️ Identify opportunities for up-selling & cross-selling 🚀 Proactive Sales Generation from Customer Enquiries: ✔️ Engage with existing customers to encourage repeat orders ✔️ Follow up with new customers after their first order & re-engage dormant accounts ✔️ Monitor customer purchasing patterns & address changes proactively 📂 CRM, Marketing & Administration Support: ✔️ Ensure accurate CRM data entry & explore customer segmentation opportunities ✔️ Support marketing activities by researching industry trends & drafting customer-focused content ✔️ Provide cover for the Order Processing & Admin Manager during leave periods ✔️ Process purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and liaise with suppliers ✔️ Assist with customer communications, audits, and general office duties 👤 Candidate Profile ✨ Essential Skills & Experience: 🔹 Strong interpersonal & communication skills (phone & email) 🔹 Experience in a front-line customer support role 🔹 Proactive approach to sales support & lead generation 🔹 Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills 🔹 Ability to calculate costs & handle quotations with confidence 🔹 Positive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic workload 🎯 Advantageous Skills: 🔸 Experience with Sage Accounts or CRM systems 🔸 Familiarity with the packaging or manufacturing industry ℹ️ Additional Information: 🔹 This is a predominantly reactive role, focused on managing warm leads & customer-generated enquiries. 🔹 A comprehensive handover period will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.
