Business Manager

We re hiring on behalf of a growing UK technology business in the Robotics and Automation space. This is a great opportunity to join a company at an exciting stage of expansion, with a clear pathway to Managing Director for the right person.

The Role

As General Manager, you ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations and support functions across the business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and is excited about helping a high-growth company scale sustainably. This is a broad, hands-on position that will see you working across operations, sales support, invoicing, logistics, marketing, admin, and more. You ll be the glue between teams organising, supporting, improving, and leading.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring efficiency across all departments
• Support the sales team with coordination, reporting, and client communications
• Manage invoicing, supplier relationships, and general financial administration
• Coordinate logistics and project delivery to ensure timelines are met
• Drive marketing initiatives, social media, and content updates
• Maintain and improve office systems, documents, and internal processes
• Lead and motivate internal teams with a people-first approach
• Work closely with company leadership on strategic planning and growth

About You

• A confident multitasker and natural people person
• Experience in a generalist operations or management role (SME/tech/engineering ideal)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in logistics, marketing, or sales support is a bonus
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to grow into a leadership position
