Hard Landscape Foreperson


Hard Landscape Foreperson - 49678 Our clients have an exciting opportunity to join their multi-award winning company as a Hard Landscape Foreperson. This is a key role within the Construction division of their business, leading hard landscaping projects to bring design-led plans to life. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic, organised and highly motivated, with a proven ability to use their own initiative in order to drive projects forward. They need to have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering high-end hard landscaping projects in line with exacting specification. They will also need to be a collaborative team worker, able to lead a hard landscaping team, whilst liaising effectively with other stakeholders such as landscape architects, garden designers, soft landscaping site leads, sub-contractors and clients. Duties include but are not limited to the following. Candidates are required to show strong competency in all these areas. * Reading and actioning site design plans to ensure the hard landscaping elements are delivered as prescribed * Working with and laying various hard landscape materials - porcelain / natural stone / clay pavers / brickwork * Setting out of a site with precision - working from plans and in collaboration with other stakeholders as required * Installation of surface drainage and formwork * Oversee the installation of complex irrigation systems working in collaboration with specialist firms * Oversee the installation of water features working in collaboration with specialist firms * Working with soft landscaping team to deliver the horticultural aspects of the project * Managing landscaping staff on site * Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director with proven ability to deliver on business objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner * Liaising and communicating with all external stakeholders whilst sensitively managing those relationships Requirements for the role include, but are not limited to: - Full clean UK driving licence - CSCS card - Competent in using the appropriate power tools where required - Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and implementing procedures Skills and qualities required of the ideal candidate: - Ability to work positively in a team with a pro-active and can-do attitude - Proven people manager - Able to work independently and take ownership for delivering superb quality work every time - Proactive approach to project planning with evidence of thinking forward on resource needs - High levels of energy, self-motivation and the ability to motivate others - Strong attention to detail within the deliverable of quality workmanship - Impeccable time-management to drive commercial imperatives - Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines - Strong work ethic and ability to foster this in team members - Integrity and discretion - A desire to develop personally, whilst also supporting the development of other team members What you will receive for fulfilling this role: - A competitive annual salary depending on experience - A discretionary annual bonus based on the Company’s overall performance - Use of a Company van for business - 28 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays - Branded uniform - PPE - Training relevant to the role - Company pension scheme - contributory from employee and employer - Employee assistance programme backed by BUPA - Company events - Working for one of the UK’s leading award-winning landscaping companies
