Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor – Tunbridge Wells Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 per annum Location: Office-based (Must be within 1 hour’s drive of Tunbridge Wells) Join a Leading Construction Firm with a Growing Future! ITS is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Main Contractor. Specialising in commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team and contribute to high-profile developments. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and success. Key responsibilities include: * Managing all commercial aspects to maximise profitability and cash flow * Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks * Preparing and presenting monthly cost reports (forecasting, CVR, risk & opportunity) * Working closely with clients to agree valuations and variations * Providing commercial and contractual support to project teams * Overseeing sub-contractor procurement, valuations, and payments * Supporting estimating teams with tendering processes What We’re Looking For * Experience in commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure projects (up to £15m) * Strong commercial management skills throughout the project lifecycle * Knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts * Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) * Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail * Main contractor experience is essential What’s in It for You? * A chance to be part of a growing business passionate about construction * Career progression opportunities within a dedicated and professional team * Attractive salary package (negotiable based on experience) * Car allowance * Technology pack – laptop & mobile phone * Private healthcare * 3% company pension contribution * 20 days holiday + bank holidays
