Our client, a leading water sector specialist are looking for Welder/Fabricators based out of Royston, Hertfordshire.
This is a full time salary position, Monday - Friday, 40 hour standard week although overtime can be offered.
Rate is dependent on skills/experience.
Job Outline
Fabricating and maintaining components used in water treatment, distribution, and storage systems, ensuring compliance with industry norms.
Including but not limited to: staircases, handrails, pipework and balustrades.
Using a range of fabrication tools and machinery.
Ensuring all work is completed to top-quality standards and within deadlines.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, to determine work requirements
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Candidate
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Valid driver s license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
Familiarity with piping standards and specifications: In-depth understanding of industry-specific piping codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring all components meet required quality and safety standards.
Proven experience in welding and fabrication: Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and the ability to fabricate metal parts to meet project requirements.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings: Essential for accurately fabricating and assembling components based on detailed technical specifications.
The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent in Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical Engineering.
