Overview
We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with (in order of priority marine, military or aerospace experience.

Responsibilities
The IVVQ Engineer will perform, but it not limited to the following type of activities centred on provision of marine outboard hardware related to a towed array:

Authoring of Test Procedures

Execution of Testing in accordance with published Test Procedures

Authoring of Test Reports fully evidencing the report conclusion(s)

Creation of PTS/Test Documentation

Verification and Validation
-
Certification/Qualification
-
Creation of evidence supporting CoD (Certificate of Design)
Qualifications
-
Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
-
A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu
Desired skills
-
Palma/Team Centre or Windchill
-
Ability to effectively communicate complex engineering issues and concepts both verbally and written, with the ability to present and explain technical and complex problems, tailored appropriately for the stakeholder

Reporting of progress to senior management teams tailoring the message delivery to the audience
-
Ability to produce well-structured and written documentation to communicate technical and non-technical information

Able to take ownership and to work on own initiative and seek out answers, in order to gain a good understanding of system functionality
Experience
-
Marine experience but candidates with Military or Aerospace experience may suit this role.

Experience of Engineering Verification and Validation (Systems/HW/SW)

Experience of Qualification Test campaigns

Able to work across the full Engineering Development Lifecycle

Experience of manual testing, smoke test/sanity testing for functional aspects of a system

Excellent communications skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to present and explain technical and complex problems, tailored appropriately for the audience.
