Care Worker Supported Living (Young Adults)

  • Location: North London Barnet
  • Job Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
  • Salary: GBP25,500 - GBP26,500 per annum
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Overtime Available)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young adults with disabilities or additional support needs?

We are currently seeking dedicated Care Workers to join a compassionate team working across supported living services. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals aged 18 and above as they transition to independent living.

About the Role:

As a Care Worker, you will provide tailored support to young adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and integrate into their communities. You ll work within a structured yet person-centred environment, focusing on:

  • Supporting with daily living activities (e.g., cooking, cleaning, budgeting)
  • Promoting independence and building essential life skills
  • Assisting with personal care and medication (where required)
  • Encouraging social inclusion and participation in community-based activities
  • Working closely with families, professionals, and the wider support team
  • Contributing to care plans and progress reports

What We re Offering:

  • GBP25,500.00 per annum
  • 40 hours per week with overtime available
  • Permanent contract

What We re Looking For:

  • Experience in supported living or a similar care setting (preferred)
  • A passion for empowering others and promoting independence
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work a rolling rota, including weekends
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential)
