Planning & Scheduling Lead


Planning & Scheduling Lead As an Onsite Planning & Scheduling Lead based in Houston, TX, you will play a critical role in a Power Generation Project currently in Execute Phase for a Major Oil & Gas company. Your experience and expertise will help drive project timelines, optimize resource allocation, as well as, compiling and delivering, recovery plans when and where required. This position requires a strong understanding of project scheduling software (Primavera P6 is a must), industry-specific processes, and a proven track record of supporting large-scale Oil & Gas and Power Generation projects. The candidate should have a minimum of 10-years' experience in Oil & Gas and Power Generation Projects. You should have a degree in Engineering, or proven track record in Senior Scheduling roles for more than 15 years. Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and manage the delivery of the project schedule, including the development of s-curves, manpower histograms, critical path analysis, recovery plans as required. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure the schedule reflects accurate project timelines, milestones, and resource needs. Monitor the progress of projects to ensure timely completion and proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays. Coordinate with onsite teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with the project schedule. Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, stakeholders, and clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in scheduling tools and software. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling within the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries, with a focus on field operations, maintenance, or construction scheduling. Minimum 10 years in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Minimum 5 years Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation Experience Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, and project management principles. Familiarity with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. PMP, Project Scheduler Professional (PSP), or similar certifications are a plus.
