Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to 55,000, depending on experience

Our client, a well-established and respected independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in the North West, is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join their growing team. The Role
As Audit Manager, you'll lead audit assignments from planning to completion, acting as the main point of contact for clients and mentoring junior team members. You'll work closely with senior leadership to ensure a high standard of service delivery and operational efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver audit assignments to agreed timescales and quality standards
• Maintain strong client relationships and communication throughout engagements
• Supervise, coach, and review work of junior team members
• Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring audits remain within scope
• Support billing and time-tracking processes
• Ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards (FRS/IFRS)
• Promote a positive, collaborative team culture

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with 2-4 years' post-qualified experience
• Proven background in audit and accounts within a practice environment
• Strong understanding of audit standards, risk controls, and regulatory frameworks
• Confident communicator with excellent client management skills
• Experience using CaseWare or CCH is a bonus
