Estimator - Planned Maintenance This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join a growing Estimating team. Working for one of the UK’s largest social housing providers, this role will provide crucial support to the business. The main purpose of this role is to support the estimating team in producing robust and accurate pricing for social housing planned works in a timely manner, in line with client requirements and company procedures. Duties and responsibilities ·Lead the estimating team in all aspects of pricing during the sales process ·Allocate resource to bids ·Ensure accurate estimations are produced in accordance with company process ·Review, understand and complete client pricing requirements ·Ensure commercial governance process is adhered to ·Work with various internal functions, to ensure the price offering is suitable to meet both parties ·Ability to work with large and/or incomplete data sets ·Estimate the cost, materials and staff required to achieve the client specification ·Suggest innovative ways of delivering more for less in the estimating of bids ·Liaise and engage with supply chain partners and subcontractors where applicable ·Evaluate and clearly understand the details and requirements for each tender ·Team development and coaching ·Be up to date with the latest estimator techniques and procedures ·Manage and update the estimating database / package Qualifications, Skills and Experience ·Strong educational background – degree qualifications preferred ·Minimum 3 years of experience working in Planned Works including K&Bs, EWI, Decarb works, highrise, reclad etc. ·Excellent understanding of commercial tendering process and associated activities ·Excellent oral and written English ·Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with wide range of people ·Experience in people management ·Analytical skills able to review data ·Able to work to tight and strict deadlines ·To remain calm under pressure ·Well organised with a high attention to detail ·Flexible and proactive individual able to work under their own initiative with a high degree of energy, assertiveness and creativity ·Commitment to collaboration and teamwork ·Able to manage numerous projects concurrently ·Strong Microsoft Excel skills ·Experience of working in the social housing maintenance industry To apply please contact Carla at 18 Recruitment for a confidential chat and submit your CV for review
