Mobile HGV Technician & Plant Technician Vacancy West London 42k basic + bonus + overtime + benefits As the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic , your day to day, you will be: * Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery as well as heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles as required * Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery * Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery * Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules * Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust * Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers * Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines/vehicles * Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled * Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management * Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required * Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do The successful HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic will need to be: * Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus plant machinery repair and maintenance * Be a resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges * Ensure personal and team success, being motivated is essential and is a key part of your role and it is part of being a brilliant team player * Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards * Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency Benefits for the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic are: * Overtime opportunities * A day off for your Birthday * 20 days of annual leave per year plus Bank Holidays * Four times death in service benefit * Branded uniform and boot allowance. * Working for an official Great Place to Work * Working for a Best UK Workplace for Wellbeing * Working for a UK Best Workplace for Development. * Access to 100s of employee perks on Perkbox * Auto-enrolment pension * Enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay policies * Access to our wellness programme and Employee Assistance Programmes, including WeCare from Canada Life (EAP and 24HR Online GP access and second Medical Opinion) * Mental Health First Aiders * Toolbox insurance Hours are Monday to Friday and based on a 45 hour week.
