Traction Renewals Supervisor

The Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Traction Renewals Supervisor for an exciting role working on a major project to revolutionise travel in the Greater Dublin Area. The ambitious project will see its current length grow by over 100km, bringing with it massive benefits to new and local communities in the area. It will be a key driver in making public transport the preferred option for travel for more and more people and boost the region's connectivity. The improvements will deliver frequent, modern, electrified services within the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) and will improve connectivity to Regional towns and cities. This fantastic project will give you a real chance to contribute to the legacy of improving connectivity throughout Dublin and beyond. Role Summary: To manage on and off-site all aspects of the Traction renewals programme associated with Traction Sub-stations, Traction Switch-houses and Traction feeder cables Support in Electrification project delivery Support in Traction Maintenance when required by the Traction Maintenance Engineer To create solid working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, such as other electrification staff, suppliers, Contractors, ECO s, CER/CRR Commissions, Safety Representatives and visitors Ensure project safety, in line with industry legislation Qualifications: Essential: Electrical Trade Qualification and at least five years of relevant working experience Experience of working in a Traction Power supply and/or HV power environment Knowledge of IE SET Safety Management System principles and standards Good communication skills Ability to work within a pressurised environment Knowledge of Traction Maintenance standards Clean Driving licence Desirable: Experience supervising staff Knowledge of SCADA control systems Demonstrated experience in traction maintenance and fault-finding Use of SAP systems Demonstrated experience in managing a team and ability to manage work in a railway environment Safety competencies: HV Switching Certification Safety Critical Communications Training TSC PTS Safe pass Underground services MEWP Technical Competencies: HV Circuit Breakers DC Circuit Breakers Control Systems The project is due to continue for at least the next 6 years, and as such, this is being offered as a permanent opportunity. The package includes a company vehicle and the possibility of a one-off relocation payment for any individuals who may seek to move to Dublin or the surrounding areas for the opportunity
