About the QA Supervisor job

The purpose of your role will be to maintain the standards for product safety, legality, traceability, quality, hygiene and housekeeping requirements throughout working shifts by working with the quality control and assurance team on a shift/daily basis to ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly.

Key tasks

• Oversee daily team operations, provide on-the-job training, conduct performance reviews, and ensure effective interdepartmental collaboration.
• Ensure products meet specifications, oversee QA checks, manage calibration of equipment, and maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and industry regulations.
• Attend production meetings, investigate product issues, circulate shift reports, and ensure accurate labelling, packaging, and sample dispatch for testing.
• Promote a safe working environment, report hazards, uphold hygiene standards, and represent company values professionally while ensuring legal and quality compliance.

About You

• The successful candidate shall have experience within a quality assurance role ideally 2 or more years in food manufacturing, however other FMCG environments are considered.
• A Food Safety Level 3 qualification and experience of investigating non-conformances would be highly beneficial.

The QA Supervisor job (ref:8870) is paying GBP30,000 - GBP32,000, according to your experience.

The site is in Newbury, Berkshire and is commutable from Swindon, Thatcham, Reading, Oxford, Slough and Southampton.

The working hours are weekly rotating - 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm (5 days a week, Monday to Friday).
