Financial Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant (UK & US GAAP)

Location: Oxford (onsite requirement = 1-2 days per month)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in line with both UK and US GAAP standards.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement. You'll work closely with internal teams across multiple countries (European) and support external reporting and compliance requirements.

This position can be considered as either a permanent or temp-to-perm contract. The company does require someone to start by early May 2025 to facilitate a full handover (by end of May).

Key finance activities and processes will include:

• Month-end and year-end reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT submissions
• Accounts payable (AP) invoices and expenses
• Travel expense claims
• Financial reporting

Requirements

• Previous accounting experience preferably within an international organisation
• Part-qual. (ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
• Any exposure to MS Dynamics 365 is a real advantage
• Excellent understanding of financial and accounting processes
• Knowledge of multi currency is advantageous
• Self starter individual with excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
