One of Europe's leading specialists in inspection machines and artificial intelligence vision products now have a requirement for a Machine Vision/AI Applications Engineer to join their team based in the Home Counties. Applications Engineer £30-35k+ Pension + 25 Days Holidays + Health Insurance Oxfordshire Ref: 24450 Applications Engineer - The Role: * Design machine vision applications * Manage projects, work with team members, and communicate with suppliers and customers. * Responsible to update internal project documentation, ensuring information is reliable for purchase, traceability, and project metrics analysis. * Create specifications and test studies for the design of machine vision applications. * Document mechanical, electrical and communication specifications for smaller machine vision systems. * Document technical files for larger machine vision systems. * Assist the team with the production of machines and systems. * Installation & commissioning of systems including FAT & SAT * Provide training and support for our machine vision machines and systems, either remotely or at customer site. * Create machine vision solutions for use in customer demonstrations, evaluations and proposals. Applications Engineer - The Person: * Minimum of 2 years of engineering industry experience. * Educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline or related field (2.1 or above). * Any knowledge of machine vision, image processing, deep learning, camera, optic and lighting technology highly advantageous * Preferred to have experience of manufacturing & industrial automation An excellent opportunity for an engineering candidate with a keen interest in AI technology, with the chance to develop automation skills working on a variety of projects.
