Our client a Kent Based Solar Energy Contractor currently seek an experienced Solar Panel Installer to bolster their Spalding, Lincolnshire team.
The work itself is Solar Panel Installation work on Agricultural, Industrial, and Commercial projects.
It is a benefit but not entirely essential that you hold a CSCS card and an IPAF certification.
In addition if you hold any of the following it would be ideal: Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights and Manual Handling.
However the company will put you through these online courses if necessary.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with hands-on experience in using power and hand tools.
As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of solar energy systems, contributing to sustainable energy solutions while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Responsibilities

Install solar panels and associated equipment on Agricultural, Commercial, or Industrial rooftops or ground-mounted systems.

Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration of solar installations.

Utilise power tools and hand tools to assemble and secure solar panel systems.

Perform electrical wiring tasks, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.

Assist in digging trenches for wiring or other necessary groundwork as required.

You will be part of a UK wide solar installation team setting out from Spalding

You mist be prepared to work away Monday-Friday. Sustenance and stay away money is pad on top of your rate.
Requirements

Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment is advantageous.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices on-site.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry advancements.

A valid, clean driving license is essential for travel between job sites.
This is a long term almost permanent position for the right person and can offer an immediate start.
