The role is full-time and permanent, leading the bar operation for a maximum of three weddings per week. You ll take ownership of stock, pricing, bar setup, cleanliness and compliance, while heading up a team of regular casual bar staff. You ll also work closely with the venue s planning team to ensure couples receive the drinks packages they ve carefully chosen in the lead-up to their big day.

Responsibilities

Lead the bar operation during weddings and private events

Manage and train a team of casual bar and breakfast staff

Allocate shifts using an app and ensure coverage for events

Oversee bar maintenance, cleaning, line management, and stock replenishment

Deliver drinks packages in collaboration with the venue s planning team

Ensure all bar operations meet compliance and licensing standards

Implement and manage health & safety and fire procedures for bar staff

Serve as the main point of contact for the bar on event days

Responsibility for breakfast service the morning after weddings
Skills Required

Proven experience managing a bar, ideally within events or hospitality

Strong leadership skills and a calm, confident presence during busy periods

Excellent organisation and attention to detail

Comfortable with stock control, pricing, and general bar maintenance

Friendly, professional communication skills

Familiarity with scheduling tools (or happy to learn)

Full driving licence and own vehicle essential due to rural location

A Personal Licence is a strong advantage

Willing to complete First Aid and Fire Safety training on site
